Your all-in-one community management tool used for Events, Locations, and Group Coordination.

Installation & Launch

Access the app directly via your browser or install it for the best experience.

• Web URL: Launch Orbit Web
• Manual Install: If the prompt doesn't appear, open the sidebar menu and tap Install App.
• Best Experience: Open your installed app if available.

⚠️ Storage Warning
Do NOT install if your device has less than 100kb of free storage.

Getting Started

Step 1: Your Community

Everything in Orbit revolves around Groups. You must be in a group to do anything.

Joining a Group

If you have been invited:

1. Click the Join Link sent to you, OR
2. Copy the Group ID and click "Join Group" in the app, then paste the ID.

Join by ID Step-by-Step:

1. Step 1: On the Home Screen/Calendar, tap the Menu icon.
   
2. Step 2: In the menu, tap Groups.
   
3. Step 3: Tap the Join Group button.
   
4. Step 4: Enter the ID and tap Request to Join.
   

Creating a Group

Start a new community by clicking Create Group. You will automatically become the Owner.

Sharing Your Group

Once your group is created, invite others by sharing the Group ID or a direct Join Link.

• Copy ID: Tap the copy icon next to the Group ID in the group list.
• Share Link: Send a message to your friends.

Step 2: Profile Setup

Your profile helps your group identify you and coordinates logistics.

• Display Name: Pick a recognizable name.
• Default Location: Set your base country/city. This determines your default Public Holidays.
• Birthday:
  • Solar Birthday: Standard date.
  • Lunar Birthday: Enable this if you celebrate according to the Lunar calendar.

Understanding who can do what within a group:

Familiarize yourself with the icons used in the Group List and settings:

• 👥
  Group Members:
  Shows the list of real users in the group.
• 👻
  Placeholder Members:
  Manage offline members (kids, elders). (Icon may vary)
• 🚪
  Exit Group:
  Leave the current community.

Navigation Bar: Refresh, Upcoming Summary, Birthday, Notifications, Profile

Placeholder Members

What are they?
Profiles for people who are part of the group offline (e.g., children, elderly parents) but don't use the app themselves.

• Managers: Owners and Admins can create, edit, and delete Placeholders.
• Usage: You can add locations and RSVP to events on their behalf.

Inheritance (Claiming a Profile)

If a Placeholder member eventually joins the app:

1. The real user sends an Inheritance Request for that specific placeholder.
2. An Admin approves it.
3. Result: All data (locations, RSVPs) from the Placeholder merges into the new Real User, and the Placeholder is removed.

App Settings & Holidays

Public Holidays

Orbit automatically shows public holidays on your calendar based on two sources:

1. Default Location: From your personal Profile.
2. Additional Nation: Select one extra country in Settings (e.g., for work or remote family).

Religious Calendars

You can subscribe to extra holiday sets which will overlay on your calendar:

• 🏮 Chinese Lunar
• ☪️ Islamic (Hijri)
• ✡️ Jewish
• 🕉️ Hindu
• ✝️ Christian

Calendar View

You can toggle the main calendar tiles to display dates in Gregorian (default), Chinese Lunar, or Hijri format.

Text Size & Accessibility

For easier reading, you can adjust the overall text scale of the app (from 80% to 150%):

1. Open the Navigation Drawer and tap Settings.
2. Scroll down to the Text Size section.
3. Select your desired scale (e.g., "Large 120%") from the dropdown menu.

Privacy: "Block Edit"

By default, Group Admins can help manage your details (like location) for coordination. You can block this in Settings > Privacy.

• Block Default Location: Only you can change your home city.
• Block Location for Date: Prevent admins from setting your travel location.
• Block Birthday: Lock your birthday details.
• Block All: Master switch for total privacy.

Notifications & Upcoming

Stay on top of what's happening in your group.

Notification Center

Tap the bell icon 🔔 (Top Nav) to see requests, birthdays, and reminders.

Upcoming Summary

Tap the first icon (Top Nav) or list icon to see the full agenda view.

Events & Activities

Creating Events

Tap the big orange + button (Speed Dial) to start actions:

Select Add Event to schedule:

• Title & Date/Time: The essentials.
• Description: Supports Markdown (Bold, Italic, Lists) for beautiful invites.
• Venue: Paste a Google Maps link! It becomes clickable for everyone.

RSVP System

You can set your status, check who else is coming, and even send reminders.

• Status Options: No / Maybe / Yes.
• Manual Reminders: Admins, Owners, or the Event Creator can send a notification to everyone who hasn't answered yet (Limit: once every 24h).

Locations

Add your travel or current location to the group map/list. This helps everyone know where you are!

Admin Power: like RSVPs, Admins can add location entries for other members (unless blocked by their Privacy Settings).

💡 Tip: Export Device Info
When reporting a bug, use the "Copy Info" button in the Feedback dialog (top left logo) to instantly copy your Device Model, App Version, and Browser Details to your clipboard.
